NEWS FOR 13-SEP (FRIDAY)
1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Kisan Man - Dhan Yojana (KMDY) scheme on September 12, 2019 in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The scheme aims to secure the lives of 5 crore small and marginal farmers by providing a minimum pension of Rs 3,000 each month, to those who attain 60 years of age.

The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) urged India on September 10, 2019 to end the lockdown and curfew in Kashmir and restore basic communication services. UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet said that she was "deeply concerned" about the Indian government's actions in Kashmir and called for an end to the lockdown and communication blockage.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Indo-Nepal cross-border petroleum pipeline  through video conferencing, on September 10, 2019. The India-Nepal cross-border petroleum pipeline is South Asia’s first cross-border pipeline.

PM Narendra Modi launched the National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP) on September 11, 2019 in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh to eradicate the Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) and Brucellosis in the livestock. It aims to provide vaccination to over 500 million livestock including cattle, buffalo, sheep, goats and pigs against the FMD which will help farmers double their income by having healthy livestock.

Vikram lander of Chandrayaan-2 has been found in a tilted position and in a single piece on the surface of the Moon. Vikram has been found in a single piece that means it has not broken despite a hard landing. ISRO is trying its best to re-establish communication with Vikram lander.
  
6. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a high-level segment meeting at the gathering at the Conference of Parties (COP14) to United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD). He said that climate change was leading to land degradation of various kinds and urged various leaders to follow a policy of afforestation.
