1. PM Narendra Modi has announced that the site where Vikram Lander and Rover Pragyan landed on the Lunar surface will be named *Shiva Shakti Point* & Aug 23rd will be celebrated as the *National Space Day*.
2. ISRO has successfully launched its ADITYA L1 mission on 2nd Sept. Aditya L1 will be ISRO’s 2 space-based astronomy mission after AstroSat launched in 2015. Aditya 1 was renamed as Aditya-L1. The Aditya 1 was meant to observe only the solar corona.
3. Nitin Gadkari launched the world's first 100% Ethanol-fueled car *"Innova Hycross Flex Fuel"*.
4. The largest domestically constructed 700 MW nuclear power plant, situated in Kakrapar, Gujarat, has initiated operations at its full capacity.

1. PM Narendra Modi was awarded with the second-highest civilian honour of Greece *'The Grand Cross of the Order of Honour'*.
2. India has handed over the B20 presidency to Brazil to host G20 in 2024.

1. Magnus Carlsen, won his first Chess World Cup, after defeating India's chess grandmaster Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa in a tie-breaker.
2. Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal at the World Athletics Championships 2023 with a throw of 88.17m held in Budapest, Hungary.

1. The MoD has signed a contract with Hindustan Shipyard Limited for the acquisition of 5 Fleet Support Ships (FSS) for the Indian Navy.
2. The Indian Army has signed contracts for the procurement of 130 tethered drones and 19 tank-driving simulators under Emergency Procurement (EP) from Bengaluru-based firm NewSpace.
3. The IAF contingent participated in Exercise BRIGHT STAR-23, a biennial multilateral tri-service exercise held at Cairo Air Base, Egypt.
