1.PM Narendra Modi launched the National Sickle Cell Anaemia Elimination Mission with an Aim To eradicate anemia by 2047.The mission will be implemented in 278 districts of 17 states in India.
2.Union Home Minister Amit Shah has virtually launched the ‘Akshar River Cruise’ on Sabarmati Riverfront which will boost the tourism in Gujarat.It is the first passenger catamaran built in the country under Make in India at a cost of Rs 15 crore.
3.India’s first indigenously developed 700 MW nuclear power reactor at the Kakrapar Atomic Power Project (KAPP) in Gujarat has successfully commenced its commercial operations.The reactor is operating at 90 percent of its total power capacity.
4.NCP leader Ajit Pawar tOOK oath as Maharashtra Deputy CM joining the BJP-Shiv Sena along with 8 MLA's form NCP.

1. India and the Philippines decided to collaborate in the defense sector, with a particular focus on the maritime domain at Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation.
2.PM Narendra Modi hosted the 23rd edition of the SCO Summit virtually on July 4, 2023.Theme for this year is "Towards a SECURE SCO".The summit was attended by SCO Members China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan With "Guest of the Chair" as Turkmenistan.
3.Iran has joined the SCO as the 9th Permanent member at an India-hosted virtual summit of the grouping.
4.New Zealand has become the first country to ban plastic produce bags at supermarkets including Recyclable, biodegradable or plant-based plastic bag.
5.According to the 2023 Global Peace Index (GPI), Report of Institute for Economics and Peace, *India has been ranked 126 out of 163 countries*. Iceland has remained the most peaceful country since 2008.

1.India won the 2023 Asian Kabaddi Championship title for the 8th time by defeating Iran in finals organized in Busan, South Korea.
2.Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has won the *2023 Lausanne Diamond League* title with the throw of 87.66m.
3.India defeated Kuwait to lift its 9th South Asian Football Federation Championship(SAFF) Championships trophy held in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

1.INS Rana and INS Sumedha undertook Maritime Partnership Exercise with French Navy ship FS Surcouf in the Bay of Bengal on 30th of June 2023.This Exercise included tactical manoeuvres, replenishment at sea approaches, air defence against fighter aircraft and cross deck helicopter operations.
2.Indian Navy has hosted the 7th edition of Japan-India Maritime Exercise 2023 *'JIMEX 23'* at Visakhapatnam from 5 to 10 July 2023.This edition marks its 11th anniversary.
