NEWS 19-06-2022. News for 20th-Jun (Monday) 1. First-ever India-European Union (EU) Security and Defence Consultations was held in Brussels, on June 10, 2022. The consultations were held in accordance with the decision taken at India-EU Summit in July 2020. 2. India hosted a Special ASEAN-India Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (SAIFMM) on June 16, 2022, in order to commemorate 30 years of ASEAN-India Dialogue Relations. 3. India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and Rupay cards will soon be accepted in France, possibly paving the way for these cashless transactions in the rest of European Union in future. 4. Russia has taken over Saudi Arabia to become India's second biggest supplier of oil.
