In a recent study, out of the 142 women commissioned till June 2016  a total of 85, have joined IAF, while only 37 and 20 have joined the Army and Navy respectively.

View: This trend has come up because of the experimental combat role offer in the Indian Air Force, which if introduced in the Army and the Navy will bring in equality in these forces as well.
