The aim is to create an ecosystem for such vehicles in the country.2.India has achieved its ambitious target of $400 billion worth of goods exports for the first time ever, nine days ahead of schedule. The Garuda 105 can be mounted on light tactical vehicles & trucks.5.The discussions on the sale of 30 Predator armed drones by the US to India, the first to a non-NATO ally, at an estimated cost of USD 3 billion are at an advanced stage.6.Indian Navy's Kilo & Kalavari class submarines are set to get Next-Generation Lithium-ion batteries very soon. Lithium-ion batteries are lighter than lead-acid batteries & also generate less heat due to which underwater endurance of the submarines will be three-time more than the existing 48-72 hrs.7.India's DRDO & France's Safran company, are close to concluding a deal, for the joint development of a 125KN engine, for the indigenous fifth generation Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA), under development.8.The Tejas Mk1A will now be armed with advanced short-range air-to-air missile (ASRAAM).
