Rise in FDI

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) has increased from $21.04 billion to $29.44 billion. There has almost been an increase of 40% in the current financial year. The countries which have contributed for Foreign Direct Investment in India are:

a)     Singapore:  $10.98 billion

b)    Mauritius: $6.10 billion

c)     United States: $3.51 billion

d)    The Netherlands: $2.14 billion

e)     Japan: $1.08 billion

View: Increase in FDI is a good yardstick to measure the growth of the country.
