NEWS 05/02/2020. NEWS FOR 7-FEB (FRIDAY) 1. India’s largest Defence Exhibition is to be held in Lucknow between Feb 5, 2020 and February 8, 2020. During the exhibition, India will showcase its existing and new defense technologies to the world. China will not participate due to the corona viral effect. 2. The Serbian Player Novak Djokovic won the Australian Open Title of 2020 in Men’s single. Sofia Kenin won Women’s singles at the tournament. Rajeev Ram teamed up with Joe Salisbury won the Men’s doubles. 3. The Indian Women Hockey Team player Rani Rampal has won the “World Game Athlete of the Year, 2019” title. She is the first hockey player in the world to receive the title. 4. Indian Finance Minister Smt Nirmala Sitaraman presented the Budget 2020 on three main themes. The first theme is Aspirational India, in which all sections of the society seek better standards of living, with access to health, education and better jobs. Second one is Economic Development for all, which indicates the Prime Minister’s initiative of “SabkaSaath, SabkaVikas, SabkaVishwas”. And the last one is Care Giving which is allocated in budget to Women and Child, Social Welfare and Tourism, Environment and Climate Change. < < Back
