PM Narendra Modi hosted G4 summit with three other head of the states ; German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Brazilian President Dilma Roussoff & Japanese PM Shinzo Abe which was made to be a time bound. They negotiated on the UNSC reforms & for inclusion in the Security Council as permanent members.

Views:

·      The G4 bloc will give a ‘strong push’ to inter-governmental negotiations for achieving early UNSC reforms.

·      The inclusion of India in the permanent members would make India a dominant country in the UN.
